Aspen Dental of Saginaw<\/a> has been taking on Ross Medical Education Center<\/a> externs and graduates of the Dental Assistant<\/a> program at the Saginaw<\/a> campus for several years. Each of the Ross students and graduates that have gone through the office have loved working in the organized, clean, and well run facility. \u201cExterns are given an incredible opportunity there,\u201d says Ashley Hine, Career Services Representative. \u201cThey are able to jump right in; it\u2019s a very welcoming office. We\u2019ve never had a bad experience come out of Aspen Dental.\u201d The feeling is mutual, as the office loves taking on externs and hiring Ross graduates; in fact, many students are hired after their externship experience.<\/p>\n

What do you like about Ross graduates?<\/strong>
\nI like that they come fully prepared for the position; they can do the digital xrays. We don’t have to spend much time going over how to do things, because they are fully aware of different procedures. They can jump right in and are more eager to learn than most.<\/p>\n

What is something you like about working with Ross?<\/strong>
\nThey are dependable. When I need someone or I’m having concerns, they are always willing to help out. If there is an issue, they address it.<\/p>\n

How is the Career Services staff at Ross?<\/strong>
\nThe office in Saginaw is exceptional. They stay in contact and keep track of how things are going. I’m very impressed. They’re always there and very dependable. When I am looking to hire someone, I reach out to Ross before I even think of looking elsewhere.<\/p>\n

How would you describe your experience with having externs from Ross?<\/strong>
\nIt’s very beneficial to our office, because they are an extra hand to help without having to give much additional training. Our practice is very busy. We are very grateful for it.<\/p>\n

Overall, how would you assess the success rate of Ross graduates?<\/strong>
\nI’ve had great success. I love my DAs that have come from Ross; they are second to none. They are very dependable.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s the main advantage of hiring a Ross graduate?<\/strong>
\nThey come fully trained and are certified for xrays.<\/p>\n

If it weren\u2019t for Ross graduates, how would your office be affected?<\/strong>
\nI would have a hard time finding great talent.<\/p>\n
