The students, faculty, and staff all took the time to show their gratitude and support to our troops overseas. Although Huntsville is the newest and the smallest of the Ross campuses, they made it a point to not allow these details to hinder the number of cards submitted in their Card for Troops mailbox. The mailbox was decorated on one of the hallway doors as a reminder to the students as they passed the door on the way to their classes to think of and support the troops overseas. The reminder and the dedication to sending encouraging cards this holiday all paid off. The response was overwhelming!

Each year, there are many troops that spend the holiday season deployed overseas. This can be an especially difficult time to be away from family and friends, so the cards provided by people from all over the nation are a meaningful and important reminder that the troops are not forgotten. The Huntsville campus was so excited to begin this wonderful tradition. As many of them have had family and friends serve in the military, they know well the difficult time that the holidays can present and the incredible effect that a heartfelt thought can make.

After creating many cards to send off, the final day of the campaign ended with the students participating in sharing some words of gratitude. Then they opened the box for the final send off! The day was full of excitement as they prepared to send the cards. During the day, the Career Services team also provided words of professional wisdom to the Medical Assistant students, and the very first class of Medical Insurance Billing and Office Administration students had the opportunity to submit their cards in the Cards for Troops Event.
