\t\t\t\t\"Ross<\/a>Prom season is right around the corner, and that means that girls everywhere are shopping for the \u201cperfect dress\u201d for the occasion. Many families lack the funds to purchase a new dress for this special night, so those young ladies are struggling to find something to wear for the event. This reality is one that many of the staff, students, and faculty of Ross Medical Education Center\u2019s<\/a> Saginaw<\/a> campus know well, so they wanted to be a part of helping make the night special for local high school students. Thanks to the generous donations of dresses from the surrounding community, hundreds of girls will be able to attend their local high school prom dressed to impress. This spring, the Saginaw campus decided to help out the cause by contributing to Share the Memories, a local non-profit organization.<\/p>\n

Each year, Share the Memories hosts an event where local high school students can come, shop, and take home a formal dress at absolutely no cost. It all began seven years ago when founder Becca Tointon started the initiative. Throughout the year, the organization collects gently used formal dresses and then turns around and gives them away to those in need. Over the years, the program has grown to more than a thousand dresses.<\/p>\n

\"Ross<\/a>Becca from Share the Memories was overwhelmed with the donations that the students and staff were able to bring in. The event was hosted on Saturday March 21st and Career Development Representative, Janelle Daniels was there to assist the girls in choosing the right dress. \u201cIt really made you feel good when you would see the girl come out and look in the mirror and you could tell by the look on her face, \u201cit was the one.\u201d\u2019<\/p>\n
