\t\t\t\t\"Ross<\/a>This spring at Ross Medical Education Center<\/a>, march madness was in the air and staff, faculty, and students at the Muncie<\/a> campus were making a final push for the company wide food drive in typical march madness fashion! Each year in March, all Ross campuses across the midwest and southern United States work together to make a difference for the hungry in their local communities. This year the organization that the campus decided to donate to was the Muncie YWCA Women\u2019s Shelter<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Muncie YWCA has one vision in everything that they do. According to their website<\/a>, that vision \u201cis that every woman in East Central Indiana will have access to a safe place to live and the resources to better herself and the lives of those around her.\u201d Since 1911, they have sought to provide support to the women in their community. This vision is one that the Muncie campus has gotten behind for numerous charitable events on and off campus.<\/p>\n

\"Ross<\/a>Although the students, staff, and faculty love to give, they also love a little friendly competition while they do it! As part of this year\u2019s March food drive, Muncie students were again competing in a tournament for the most donations. In the end, the championship came down to the morning Dental Assistant<\/a> class reigning triumphant over the morning Medical Insurance Billing and Office Administration<\/a> students!<\/p>\n

The students really enjoyed the opportunity to give back. “I enjoyed bringing in food that I know would be going to needy families,\u201d said Hollyann Gonzalez. \u201cHelping others has always been something that brings me joy and I would be happy to do it again.” It was a very successful campaign and everyone was very excited to give over 100 non-perishable food items to the Muncie YWCA Women’s Shelter. Congratulations to Muncie Dental Assistant students on becoming the defending food drive champions!<\/p>\n
