\t\t\t\t\"Ross<\/a>Throughout the month of April, the Ross Medical Education Center<\/a> campus in Taylor<\/a> partnered with their local Two Men and a Truck<\/a> location to collect items to help support local mothers in need this Mother\u2019s Day. All the proceeds from the drive were donated as part of their annual Movers for Moms<\/a> campaign. The staff, faculty, and students from the Taylor campus were honored to be a part of making sure that all moms were remembered and recognized this Mother\u2019s Day, especially those that are so often overlooked.<\/p>\n

Each year, Two Men and a Truck locations across the nation collect donations for women during the early spring to be delivered to various local women\u2019s and family shelters on or before Mother\u2019s Day weekend. Each of the franchises partners with a local shelter, school, or other community organization to donate to as well as a business or two to work together with in collecting items. The goal of this venture is to make Mother\u2019s Day special even when the circumstances are difficult and times are tough. The Movers for Moms campaign in 2014 was the largest yet – a record breaking year! Their goal is to continue to break their own record year after year.<\/p>\n

During the drive, the entire campus worked together to collect as many personal care items as they could. Some of the items included soap, hair styling products, shampoo, conditioner, pillows, blankets, slippers, and other basic clothing items. At the end of the drive, all the items collected were picked up by Two Men and a Truck representatives and delivered just before Mother\u2019s Day to Sunrise House<\/a> in Monroe and First Step<\/a> in Wayne. The campus loved being a part of such a special event.
