<\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/figure>\n\t\t<\/div>\nNow that June is over, it\u2019s time to reflect on what a great Student Appreciation Month was had for everyone at Ross Medical Education Center<\/a> campuses! Faculty and staff at each campus strives to show their students how appreciated they are all year, but the month of June is a special one! Many of the campuses held special fun activities or events while others invited guest speakers.<\/p>\nAt the Fort Wayne<\/a> campus, they know that students are often consumed with the daily grind of family, work, and school. They wanted to make a way for them to relax and have a little fun to relieve the stress. To do this, they had students guess the number of jolly rancher candies in a jar at the campus. The student that guessed the closest to the correct number would win a small prize. Maria Bautista, a student in the Medical Assistant<\/a> program, was the big winner! The staff and faculty was excited that Maria had won as she is an inspiration to her instructors, classmates, and children. Office Assistant Kathleen Gibson said of her, \u201cit reminds me of the words \u2018Expect Nothing Less.\u2019 If mom can go back to school and make a successful career in the healthcare field, than the concept of \u2018Expect Nothing Less\u2019 applies to her son and daughter!”<\/p>\n The Brighton<\/a> campus also came up with some fun ways to show their students how much they mean to them. Instructors from each program came up with fun and creative ways to encourage the students and give them something to smile about. First, Mrs. Carey, Dental Assistant<\/a> Instructor, went through each class and shared with them that toothbrushes should be replaced every three months. She then distributed toothbrushes to each student. Next, Pharmacy Technician<\/a> Instructor Mrs. Muck gave each student a stick of lip balm. The Pharmacy Technician students had worked hard to make the balm themselves for their classmates! Finally, the Medical Assistant Instructors, Mrs. Converse and Mrs. Ritter, gave each student a Ross pen. The Brighton staff and faculty knows how hard their students work, and they wanted to make sure to take the time to let them know they are appreciated!<\/p>\n Many other campuses celebrated their students in various unique and exciting ways. In Ann Arbor<\/a>, the students enjoyed homemade cookies and cookie cakes made by the Assistant Campus Director of Education and an ice cream social provided by Career Services and Admissions. In Dayton<\/a>, the campus hosted a luau themed pizza party, and in Flint<\/a> the Medical Insurance Billing and Office Administration<\/a> students had a photo booth with their classroom skeleton. Port Huron<\/a> celebrated crazy hair day and ate delicious snacks together, Muncie<\/a> got a visit from Eaton EMTs<\/a>, and Roosevelt Park<\/a> had a tailgate party. Cincinnati<\/a> enjoyed punch and cookies while giving each other a little encouragement in the form of positive notes for each student. Taylor\u2019s<\/a> faculty and staff provided a sundae bar for an ice cream social, the Portage<\/a> campus held a cake walk, and Dayton<\/a> students played fun outdoor games during their break.
