\t\t\t\t\"Ross<\/a>Each month, campuses across the Ross community work hard to improve the lives of those in their communities. This fall, the Ross Medical Education Center campus in Brighton, Michigan<\/a> decided to benefit their furry neighbors. The way they chose to do this was by collecting donations for the Livingston County Humane Society<\/a>. Because they rely on support from individuals and organizations in the community, the Humane Society is always in need of donations. The staff at Ross in Brighton knew that with the help of their kindhearted students and faculty, they could bring together a great donation.<\/p>\n

\"Ross<\/a>When this event was first announced and flyers were hung, excitement immediately began to spread throughout the campus. With very little motivation other than helping out, the donations began to pour in. Students and staff were asked to bring in items from the Livingston County Humane Society Wish List and also all bottles and cans that could be recycled for a cash donation. Before they knew it, their donation table was filled and bag after bag of recyclables surrounded it. \u201cIt was a touching sight to see the campus come together to help such a wonderful organization,\u201d shared Katie Sulkowski, Office Assistant.<\/p>\n

From cans of dog and cat food to empty recyclable cans, each can and each donation was truly heartfelt and thoughtful. By the end of the drive, the campus was able to donate a large variety of items including large bags of dog food, kitty litter, and gently used towels and blankets. On top of that, the campus collected over 1,000 recyclable bottles and cans producing an additional $118.40 monetary donation! “I am so proud that the students and staff came together for the local humane society with the bottle drive,\u201d said Nancy Dolin, Financial Aid Student Support Representative. \u201cIt just proves that our students have big hearts and will be great health care workers!” \t\t<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
