{"id":1993,"date":"2012-06-13T16:53:41","date_gmt":"2012-06-13T20:53:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/therossblog.com\/?p=1993"},"modified":"2012-06-13T16:53:41","modified_gmt":"2012-06-13T20:53:41","slug":"davison-campus-walks-for-williams-syndrome","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rosseducation.edu\/blog\/davison-campus-walks-for-williams-syndrome\/","title":{"rendered":"Davison Campus Walks for Williams Syndrome"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\tThe weather couldn&#8217;t have been better when\u00a0the Davison campus\u00a0walked for Williams Syndrome on Saturday, May 19.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/RossEducation.edu\">Ross<\/a> walked to bring awareness to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.williams-syndrome.org\">Williams Syndrome<\/a>, which\u00a0is a genetic condition present at birth\u00a0that affects about 1\u00a0in 10,000 people worldwide. An\u00a0estimated 20,000 to 30,000 people in the U.S. currently suffer from this condition. Williams Syndrome causes serious medical problems, such as cardiovascular disease, developmental delays, and learning disabilities.\u00a0Yet, individuals with Williams Syndrome are often highly sociable and enjoy contributing to their communities in whatever ways they can.<\/p>\n<p>The Davison campus was happy to support this worthy cause and raised nearly $200.00.
