\t\t\t\t\"Ross<\/a>This recent holiday season, students, staff, and faculty from Ross Medical Education Center\u2019s Davison, Michigan campus<\/a> decided to team up with Gary Stanley, coordinator of Toys for Tots in the Genesee County area<\/a>. Taylor Mosley, Office Assistant in Davison, encouraged the campus to host a toy drive for Toys for Tots. She wanted to help all of the families in the local area that wouldn\u2019t be able to afford to buy gifts for their children during Christmas. She checked in with Gary to find out which toys they were low on so that the campus could help to fill some of their needs. He requested toys for toddlers and pre-teen girls because the warehouse didn\u2019t have many items for those age groups.<\/p>\n

Once the campus knew what was needed, they were excited to get to work collecting the items. To add a little bit more fun and excitement, the campus held a competition between each of their programs to see who could donate the most toys before Christmas. The winner seemed to be obvious until the students in the morning Medical Assistant program<\/a> brought in bags and bags of toys right before the final judging, winning the competition!<\/p>\n

\"Ross<\/a>This was the first year that the campus participated in a Toys for Tots drive and collected over 100 dolls, stuffed animals, and other toys and items for area children. The staff and students were thrilled to have been a part of something so meaningful to their community. After the drive, toys were dropped off to Toys for Tots and the campus received news from Gary Stanley that Toys for Tots received so many donations this year that they passed their goal for 2015 and already had items to set aside for next year! \u201cOur campus is very happy they could be a part of such a wonderful thing,\u201d shared Taylor Mosley, Office Assistant.<\/p>\n
