\t\t\t\t\"rossThis past summer, the staff, faculty, and students at Ross Medical Education Center campus in Knoxville, Tennessee<\/a> were very busy. They were not only been busy with school work, but also spent time and effort giving back to the community. The faculty, students, and staff started off by holding a food drive on campus for Louisville Christian Assistance Center<\/a>, a local organization that helps people from all walks of life who are in need. Toiletries and nonperishable food items were collected at the campus and then donated to this organization to support their great cause.<\/p>\n

Then, a month or so later, the Ross Knoxville campus again rallied together to make greeting cards for Card Care Connection<\/a>. This is a thoughtful organization that sends inspirational cards to cancer patients nationwide. Their focus is providing words of comfort and support at a difficult time. Card Care Connection is devoted to enriching the lives of those affected by cancer. Everyone at the campus was very excited to be a part of their mission. In fact, all of the students worked hard and together were able to make over 60 inspiring cards!<\/p>\n

\"rossFinally, the Ross campus in Knoxville could not possibly forget about their furry friends in the community. To help them wrap up the summer, students, faculty, and staff held a pet food and supplies drive for The Humane Society of the Tennessee Valley<\/a>. The Humane Society of the Tennessee Valley educates the community on how to be responsible and compassionate animal guardians. The Humane Society is a no-kill organization and works with 22 shelters in surrounding counties to provide a second chance for as many animals as possible. The students pulled together and donated much needed food and supplies to help the cause.<\/p>\n

Everyone from the Ross Knoxville campus was proud of the hard work that they did in their community and they look forward to continuing to support and help local families and organizations. \t\t<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
