Ross College in Sylvania, Ohio<\/a> recently invited a Be the Match representative to the campus. David Mahler from Be The Match was happy to come to speak with Ross staff and students about blood cancers like leukemia and lymphoma.<\/p>\nThe students were thankful to not only learn about the problem, but even more so to get to be a part of the solution. \u201cOur students were so moved by the presentation that many decided they wanted to be part of the cure,\u201d shared Shana Brubaker, Assistant Campus Director of Education. After the visit, the campus followed up with David to see how many students joined the registry because of his talk. As a healthcare training organization, each of the Ross Medical Education Center campuses works hard to get involved in their communities. Ross staff, students, and faculty are passionate about supporting their friends and neighbors, partnering with like-minded local organizations, and improving the area around them. However, one of the most exciting ways for these healthcare professionals and those in training to do that is through increasing awareness and participation with important healthcare initiatives and programs.<\/p>\n
