They celebrated the month of love by preparing over 100 Valentine cards to be distributed at the VA Medical Center in Ann Arbor. Office Assistant Adriana Vazquez spearheaded the event, inviting students to make cards for their local Veterans. New programs provide treatment for traumatic brain injuries, post-traumatic stress, suicide prevention, female veteran needs, and more. According their website, “VA has opened outpatient clinics, and established telemedicine and other services to accommodate a diverse Veteran population, and continues to cultivate ongoing medical research and innovation to improve the lives of America’s patriots.”

Not only does the VA Health Administration work hard to support veterans, they also operate one of the largest healthcare systems in the world and provide training for a majority of America’s medical, nursing, and allied health professionals. Roughly 60% of all medical residents obtain a portion of their training at VA hospitals, and VA medical research programs benefit society at-large.

The campus’ vision is exemplified in the following:

V is for Valentines for Vets

A is for All of the brave veterans

L is for Living in freedom

E is for your heroic Efforts

N is for Never to be forgotten

T is for Teaching youth

I is for students, organizations and Individuals sending valentine tributes

N is for the Numerous ways we appreciate you

E is for thanks for Everything!

S is for your valiant Sacrifices

As they approached Valentine’s Day, the Ross Medical Education Center Ann Arbor, Michigan campus did not want to forget the…
Read More

[2
