Their goal is to educate pet owners about the special needs of their animals, many of which live outside in high-risk conditions, and assist with shelter, food, and sometimes spay and neuter services in an effort to help the animals be as comfortable as possible in their given situation.

Pets in Peril also accepts financial donations for those who are unable to donate their time to the organization. The funds collected are used for worthy causes such as pet vaccinations, heartworm prevention, boarding and training services, microchipping, spay/neutering services, supplying pet food, and more! Funds donated are being raised to build a new facility to help house the many services provided by Pets in Peril. These funds are primarily raised through community fundraisers and events to help spread the awareness of Pets in Peril’s mission.

Financial Aid Student Services Support Representative Marlena Sales is an animal lover like many others and she and many of her friends were concerned about the pets that Pets in Peril cares for: pets in Flint that are outside, especially because this winter weather has been especially harsh. Marlena asked if the campus wanted to have a drive and the students were happy to oblige. They were able to collect and donate three boxes of food, toys, treats, dog jackets, etc. Team Leader Edith Campbell and volunteer Marsha Eagle were delighted to meet some of the students who donated and to learn more about Ross.

Staff and volunteers from Pets in Peril were very thankful, writing on their facebook page: “Thanks Ross Medical Education Center! Some 50 students collected goodies for PIP after seeing our facebook page. The school prepares students for dental/medical careers and all shifts classes are available. Here is some of the bunch with Marsha and Edith accepting the gifts of dog/cat food, toys, treats.”

For more information or to assist this worthy organization, visit petsinperil.org/.

The Ross Medical Education Center campus in Flint, Michigan held a drive during the very cold winter months for donations…
Read More

[2
