All donations will be distributed by the St. Clair County Chapter of the American Red Cross. \u201cWe\u2019re very aware of the difficulty many of our citizens are facing in order to meet their daily living needs,\u201d said Paul Mitchell, CEO, Ross. \u201cWe hope that everyone in Port Huron will show their community spirit by donating to our food drive.\u201d<br \/>\nAs an added incentive, those who donate food can enter into a drawing for a gift basket of items from local merchants. The Port Huron campus currently offers a medical assistant and medical insurance billing and office administration (MIBOA) program. Students receive a certificate for each program upon completion. The MIBOA coursework includes instruction on billing, coding, working with insurance claim submissions and understanding Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance, as well as health insurance regulations. A high school diploma or GED is required for admission for all programs.<br \/>\nAll coursework features hands-on learning using state-of-the-art equipment beginning on the very first day of class. Practical instruction from experts in the field prepares each student for their required externship.
