\t\t\t\t\"RossRoss Medical Education Center in Saginaw, Michigan<\/a> was thrilled to join in the company wide food drive this spring. Each of the campuses collected items to help their community from going hungry. Ross Saginaw has had the opportunity to work with East Side Soup Kitchen<\/a> both in collecting goods and serving in the kitchen in the past. The food collected will help feed many people\/families in the Saginaw area.<\/p>\n

The East Side Soup Kitchen began in 1979 thanks to a local pastor and his wife. They realized the need in their community as the local automobile industry was struggling and many people found themselves unemployed. The kitchen started in the basement of the First Christian Church and has now grown through several facilities to meet the great local need. According to their website, the East Side Soup Kitchen serves over 250 meals daily on average.<\/p>\n

\"RossRoss Saginaw Office Assistant Apryl Blossom shared, \u201cI know what it means to struggle to make ends meet, and I think it is awesome that Ross participates in so many community service activities. It really helps a lot of people in need.\u201d Campus Director Ginger Rezmer agreed, \u201cwe love not only helping the community, but helping our workers and students that are suffering. There have been many times that the team will have a food drive for a student or co-worker or even collect items to help with the situation at hand. It is a blessing to give and help others.\u201d<\/p>\n

In fact, Ginger was reading the East Side Soup Kitchen\u2019s website and was overwhelmed when she discovered that they feed the community over 500 Thanksgiving dinners and host the MI Sampler Fundraiser, Crop Walk – Ending Hunger One Step at a Time, and many other events and activities throughout the year. Each of the Ross campuses enjoys helping in the local communities.
