For the fifth consecutive year, Ross took part in the Two Men and a Truck Movers for Moms program in May. Each year in the spring for the Movers for Moms program, Two Men and a Truck works with other local organizations to collect donations for area women\u2019s shelters. The donations are then gathered and prepared for delivery on Mother\u2019s Day across the country and internationally.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ywcaflint.org\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">YWCA Women\u2019s Shelter in Flint, Michigan<\/a> benefits each year from the collection that the Flint campus takes part in. As part of the community, many of the students, staff, and faculty are connected with the local YWCA and very thankful for the services that they provide. In fact, many of those at the campus have known someone that has been impacted by the YWCA and its programs. This year, the Flint campus was once again thrilled to be a part of making Mother\u2019s Day a little more special for moms at the shelter, and they were able to donate over 100 items towards the drive.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Movers for Moms is one of my favorite drives that we do here at Ross,\u201d shared Ross Flint Office Assistant Ashley Welch, excited to be a part of this meaningful drive again. \u201cI love that all of the donations stay in the community, going to our local YWCA. It&#8217;s amazing to watch how engaged our students get with this drive!&#8221; To kick off the drive and add to the excitement, the campus gets a special visitor &#8211; Truckie! The Two Men and a Truck mascot, Truckie, works hard to get the campus to get ready and excited for this event each year.
