Each of the six campuses selected emergency services from their local community, and recognized their effort and dedication to the profession and community at large.<\/p>\nFor each of their chosen emergency services groups, the Ross campuses served food, drinks, and snacks to their local heroes. They also spent time writing cards to the incredible teams in 20 different fire houses and two separate ambulance bays. Participants included a large variety of Ross students, faculty, and staff. It was a great way to come together and unite the different communities around a common cause. It was also meaningful to recognize the incredible efforts and sacrifices made daily by the local heroes in each of the different Ross communities. In Kokomo, the local newspaper, Kokomo Perspective<\/a>, was impressed by all that the campus was doing to honor their local EMS. They decided to feature them and their visits in the paper.<\/p>\n Ryan Middleton, Regional Vice President with Ross, said \u201cI appreciate our campuses showing civic leadership in their local communities through service, recognition, and response. Campus leadership identified an opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to recognize health care personnel who may go unnoticed, but save lives every day. It was a wonderful event, and I\u2019m proud of those who participated!\u201d Ross was honored to have joined the national week of recognition.
