{"id":7744,"date":"2014-03-18T14:19:30","date_gmt":"2014-03-18T18:19:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rosseducation.edu\/?p=7744"},"modified":"2014-03-18T14:19:30","modified_gmt":"2014-03-18T18:19:30","slug":"ross-niles-visits-learning-tree-national-childrens-dental-health-month","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rosseducation.edu\/blog\/ross-niles-visits-learning-tree-national-childrens-dental-health-month\/","title":{"rendered":"Ross in Niles Visits The Learning Tree for National Children&#8217;s Dental Health Month"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t<a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/ross-niles-childrens-dental-month-2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7746\" title=\"Ross in Niles Visits The Learning Tree for National Children's Dental Health Month\" alt=\"Ross in Niles Visits The Learning Tree for National Children's Dental Health Month\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/ross-niles-childrens-dental-month-2.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" \/><\/a>National Children&#8217;s Dental Health Month is sponsored by the American Dental Association each year in February to raise awareness and promote the necessary dental hygiene habits that will lead kids to a lifetime of dental health.<!--more--> According to the American Dental Association, &#8220;Developing good habits at an early age and scheduling regular dental visits helps children get a good start on a lifetime of healthy teeth and gums.&#8221; Making dental hygiene fun is the first step in developing good habits for life.<br \/>\n<a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/ross-niles-childrens-dental-month-1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-7745\" title=\"Ross in Niles Visits The Learning Tree for National Children's Dental Health Month\" alt=\"Ross in Niles Visits The Learning Tree for National Children's Dental Health Month\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/ross-niles-childrens-dental-month-1-300x168.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" \/><\/a>The Dental Assistant students at the Ross Medical Education Center campus in Niles, OH celebrated National Children&#8217;s Dental Health Month by visiting The Learning Tree. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.yourlearningtree.net\/\" title=\"The Learning Tree\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Learning Tree<\/a> is a local preschool and daycare center in McDonald, OH. The children at The Learning Tree received a day filled with dental education and fun. The Ross students provided a coloring station, a face-painting station, and a play dough head station complete with fill &amp; drill teeth! The Tooth Fairy even made an appearance and took pictures with the kids. According to the Tooth Fairy, &#8220;The smiles of the future never looked brighter!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Dental Assistant students also learned a lot that day. Mackenzi Goda stated, &#8220;At first, I was skeptical about visiting the preschool, but it made me think of different job opportunities in the dental field with children that I might enjoy.&#8221;<br \/>\n<a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/ross-niles-childrens-dental-month-3.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-7747\" title=\"Ross in Niles Visits The Learning Tree for National Children's Dental Health Month\" alt=\"Ross in Niles Visits The Learning Tree for National Children's Dental Health Month\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/ross-niles-childrens-dental-month-3-150x150.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>The Dental Assistant program at Ross Medical Education Center are designed to help prepare students for entry-level positions in the Dental Assisting field in a variety of settings and with people of all ages.
