The staff, faculty, and students at the campus came together to host a collection for <a href=\"https:\/\/maddiescloset.org\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Maddie\u2019s Closet<\/a>, a unique resource that provides clothing, accessories, shoes, and hygiene products for school-aged children from sizes 5t-4X in their community.<\/p>\n<p>Maddie\u2019s Closet was originally founded in the summer of 2017 by a thirteen year old girl who wanted to create a way to provide free clothes, shoes, toiletries and other items to disadvantaged teens. She wanted to do this in an environment where there would be no judgment or embarrassment for the situations these teens found themselves in and so Maddie\u2019s Closet was born. \u201cWe make sure they have what they need to feel confident and be able to flourish in their studies and day to day activities,\u201d reads a statement on their website. \u201cWe want these items to be one less worry for them and their families so they can focus on more important things, like being kids.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Many members of the Ross staff expressed their excitement at the opportunity to work with Maddie\u2019s Closet. It was very meaningful to join together with this amazing organization founded right there in the Quad Cities area by a Quad Cities teenager. \u201cWe delivered our donations to Maddie\u2019s home where she, her mother, and many other family members still receive all of the donations, launder them, and get them ready to be given away,\u201d said Ross College Office Assistant Mindy Hood. \u201cIt\u2019s an absolute pleasure to give to such a worthy cause.
