A few things I like about Ross are the class size: not too big and not too small, so you're sure to get any answers or questions you have answered in class. Another thing I like is their hands-on portion in clinic. To me, it is very helpful and handy to learn before going out to extern. Lastly, what I like is the support you have from everyone. They just want to see you succeed and be confident. Also, the peer tutor program that is available to offer more help from students in your own class.

My name is Mercedes and I am in the MIBOA program. Ross has great staff and a fun learning environment to help so we can be successful.

I began my journey of becoming a medical assistant at the age of 49 years young. I chose Ross in Portage and my instructors were polar opposites but they both had my success and best interest at heart. I am now a medical assistant at one of the major hospitals in the area, working in orthopedics. Ross helped me have a successful career because they trained me to be the best I could be. My experience at Ross Medical Education Center was very AMAZING! I learned so many things that I never knew about the human body and how it functions. I also learned how to do everything that is required in the medical assistant program to have a chance to go to extern to be able to get more of the hands-on feeling of how things are. The instructors and students are very friendly and very helpful in everyway!

The reason I chose Ross is because I liked how it is a "hands-on" program. The instructors were fantastic - they worked with me one-on-one and helped me if I didn't understand something. They were there for me if I had a question outside of class. I felt confident in what they were teaching me for my career path. Everyone is super friendly and supportive. I am very grateful that I am a part of such a great school/program, so I can succeed!
