Did you know that 69 years ago, President Franklin D. Roosevelt proclaimed March as Red Cross Month?
Ross Medical Education Center in Canton was more than happy to step up to the challenge to donate blood on March 13. By the end of the day, the campus had collected a dozen pints of blood. Each pint can save up to 36 lives.
“The Red Cross Southeast Michigan Region has received more than 220,000 units of blood from local residents. We’re pleased to be part of the good work they do in our community,” said Erin Hooks, Campus Director, Canton.
