Opened in 2012, the Ross Medical Education Center Charleston campus is located just off of the West Virginia Turnpike (I-64/I-77). The campus is in the Kroger plaza on Maccorkle Ave by the DMV.
As the capital and largest city in West Virginia, Charleston is home to a large network of hospitals, specialty clinics, pharmacies, and research centers. This combination of healthcare facilities makes Charleston a great location to pursue healthcare training.
During my time at Ross Medical I have learned the fundamentals of becoming a pharmacy technician, and I feel like I've been prepared to start my career properly. The staff is friendly, helpful, and always there when I need them. When I first started I was nervous and didn't know if I could do it, but because of all the factors that Ross offers I had a smooth transition. It's also great that they help you with the interviewing process and getting a job. My instructor Laura Cyphers was great! She had experience being a pharmacist, which gave a real-life perspective of how the field operates. She explained the curriculum well and I have the highest GPA I have ever had. I feel like I have received enough knowledge to succeed. The Campus Director, April Harr, is great, because you can always go talk with her and she's there to listen. Overall, my experience at Ross has been educational and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this school to other people, because Ross has helped me better my life.Brisk Reed Graduate Pharmacy Technician student at Johnson City, TN campus Graduation: April 3, 2019
I was wary to go to school completely online since my past experiences with it weren't so great, but from the very beginning, all of the faculty and staff have been more than supportive with me, which is super important for a student who lives thousands of miles away from the actual campus.Talor Hall Graduate Online - Medical Office Management student at Ross College Online campus Graduation: October 3, 2017
I chose Ross Medical Education Center to better my life for myself and my children. They have several courses to choose from. From the moment I walked through the doors, I could tell they had a very professional, encouraging, and caring staff to help me succeed. Since day one they've been understanding and kind in all the situations life has dealt me through this exciting journey. Ross has changed my life by allowing me to find the part of myself that has been locked away. Strength. Because of their support, I have pushed myself to be better not only in school but in life. It has given me confidence and courage I didn't know I had. I feel secure in life knowing they have my back and I now have the ability to have my own career and never have to depend on anyone. By making the decision to come to Ross, I've changed my tomorrow today.Jessica Walker Graduate Medical Assistant student at Owensboro, KY campus Graduation: April 24, 2019
My name is Robin. I started at Ross in September 2018. Enrolling for a medical assistant has been very challenging but so very rewarding. It's been the best academic experience of my life. I could not have picked a better school for myself and my needs. The staff has been amazing!Robin Whalen Graduate Medical Assistant student at Flint, MI campus Graduation: April 24, 2019
