Opened in 1981, the Ross Medical Education Center Lansing campus is located on the northwest corner of Saginaw Highway and Waverly Road. The campus is situated in West Saginaw Plaza by Aaron’s Furniture.
As the capital city and one of the largest in Michigan, Lansing and its surrounding area is home to a large network of hospitals, specialty clinics, pharmacies, and research centers. This combination of healthcare facilities makes Lansing a great location to pursue healthcare training.
I've been in the program for the past five months and my time here at Ross has been awesome. When starting the program, I was nervous about what lie ahead, but after a few weeks, you get into the hang of things. I've made very close friendships in my time here and plan on carrying them outside of graduating. Ross has been one of the best decisions I've made. I'm looking forward to going on my externship and seeing what this career has in store for me.Samantha Collins Graduate Medical Assistant student at Madison Heights, MI campus Graduation: February 13, 2019
My name is Kimberly. I'm going to tell you how Ross has changed my life. I was working 40-60 hours a week at a factory, 7 days a week. I made the decision to try Ross and see where this life adventure takes me. I am now an RMA and work at Speciality Clinic. I worked very hard on working full time and going to school full time. Ross was a very important decision that I made for my life and a very special place for me. I would recommend that anyone try Ross. It will change your life forever, it did mine. Thank you - KimberlyKimberly Mangold Graduate Medical Assistant student at Portage, MI campus Graduation: June 4, 2018
Ross Medical Education Center has been absolutely outstanding. I attended the Medical Assistant program at the Port Huron campus and then I pursued the Medical Scribe Specialist Program online. I received job offers after the completion of both programs. Ross has prepared me for a career for the rest of my life.La Rae Hemstrom Graduate Medical Assistant student at Port Huron, MI campus Graduation: April 11, 2016
Before I joined Ross, I lost my job, my car, and I lost a child. I came to the conclusion that I was tired of being broke and working dead end jobs that I didn't enjoy doing. I wanted to do something I enjoyed and got paid to do because I take pride in my work. I always have to consider my 5 year old daughter when I make my life decisions, because she's been with me through all the struggles within the past five years. This time around I just had a talk with God. I asked him what I was destined for. That's how I ended up at Ross Medical. I am enrolled in the medical assistant program. I want to be a Phlebotomist and EKG Technician. The teachers and advisers are awesome! They are very fluent, vocal, and hands on when it comes to helping their students be successful. I enjoy coming to school every day. When I'm having a rough day, everyone is so welcoming, warming, family oriented, and understanding. Ross makes me happy. I appreciate and thank you ALL.Keturah Roberson Graduate Medical Assistant student at Saginaw, MI campus Graduation: January 17, 2019
The reason I chose to go to Ross is because I wanted to learn with a hands-on approach and in a comfortable environment. Having the option to go to night class was perfect for my busy schedule. The instructors were always there to help me if I had any problems, in or out of class. Everyone was always friendly and willing to help. I felt very confident going for my externship because what you learn in class transfers really well out in the field. Thanks to Ross, I no longer feel like I'm stuck in a job I don't like, but rather, I am happy in a career.Amanda Frydrych Current Medical Insurance Billing and Office Administration student at Brighton, MI campus Graduation: December 4, 2019
