How long does Medical Assistant training take?
In order to earn a certificate or diploma from a Medical Assistant program, classroom time can be completed in as little as 24 weeks. After that time filled with important information, practice, and demonstrations all closely related to your field, it’s important to be placed in a real healthcare environment. During this six week externship experience, you will get to actually be involved in the day to day events of a healthcare facility!
At Ross, we know that you want to get out into the field fast! That’s why our Medical Assistant program is focused on getting you the information that you need to know to be successful. Unlike other programs, we don’t require you to take lists of classes that have nothing to do with your future medical assistant career. We want to get you fully trained and out in the healthcare field helping patients and gaining valuable experience.

You will also get the opportunity to practice those skills in the classroom as well as during your externship experience out in the field.
What does a medical assistant do?
