Ross Medical Education Center often has outstanding students that make them proud by their attitude, work ethic, and perseverance. One of the Medical Assistant graduates from Port Huron, Katlyn Rossignol, is one of those students. Throughout her time at the school, she always had the unique ability to carry herself in such a way that she was able to help people to feel at ease around her and trust in her skill set. She maintained a positive attitude, kept a teamwork mentality, and was always willing to assist other students. As a recent high school graduate, Katlyn came to Ross Medical to pursue a career as a Medical Assistant because she knew she did not want to continue working in retail.
After her time in the classroom was over, Katlyn completed her externship experience at a local urgent care clinic. While at the clinic, she excelled and received high recommendations from her team. In fact, her site manager called her “an excellent student who really wants to learn.” Everyone in the clinic loved working with her and quickly respected her and her abilities in the office. It was evident that she possessed the necessary skills and attitude to be highly successful in this fast-paced, demanding, and unique environment.
It wasn’t long after graduation that she landed an interview with the office of a prestigious ear, nose, and throat doctor in the area. Her current office manager describes Katlyn as the “perfect candidate for their office.” The staff and instructors from the Port Huron campus have no doubt that Katlyn will continue to grow to become an even more passionate Medical Assistant who cares not only about the services she provides but also about each patient that she is able to work with. The Career Development Team from Ross in Port Huron said, “we are very proud of how Katlyn represents Ross and, more importantly, herself.”
