Ross Medical Education Center recently opened a new campus in Huntsville. It is Ross’ first campus in Alabama, so it has been an exciting time of firsts! The Huntsville campus was thrilled to welcome their first class of students in the Medical Assistant program for the October 27th start. To celebrate the start and in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, the staff began the first day of classes by wearing pink. They ended their first week with Ms. Stewart’s “Mad Laboratory” where students were allowed to wear costumes on October 31st.
The month of October was quickly followed up by the start of the first Dental Assistant class which led to more student activities on the campus. These activities included Friends and Family Day, Snacks and Study Hall, Breakfast and a Break, Cards for Troops, and Toys for Tots. The week ended with a visit from the Career Services team; they were able to voice some professional words of wisdom accompanied by “What Not to Wear Models.”
The Huntsville Campus also had the opportunity to visit Butler High School to talk about their programs. Additionally, they were able to participate in Redstone Federal Credit Union’s Career Fair. The purpose of the Career Fair was to provide a practical resource for those students who will be seeking employment immediately after graduation and for those who will attend another institution of higher learning. It was an awesome experience and a great day for Ross students! The students made sure to go around to all of the tables and make connections with local organizations and potential employers. Admissions team member Megan Rentsch received a lot of attention from the other representatives as a new face at the career fair. Many of the organizations expressed interest in seeing the graduates after they complete externship!
The campus’ staff, faculty, and students are so excited about their arrival to Huntsville, AL and Ross Education, LLC!
