For the second year, Ross in Roosevelt Park campus participated in the 18th Annual United Way of The Lakeshore Day of Caring in Muskegon. A fun time was had by all!
We joined over 800 grassroots volunteers for two different projects. We worked at the future site of West Michigan Therapy, a facility in Muskegon that provides housing and support to people who are victims of homelessness and substance abuse. Our tasks involved registering volunteers and learning how to cut and install insulation. We moved on to Mullally Park, a 58-acre site with playgrounds, baseball diamonds, and walking trails. Ross was given the task of cleaning paint brushes in order to give a fresh coat of paint to the playground equipment.
It was great to work with such a wonderful group of people and school kids in the community. We’ll definitely be back for next year’s event!
