This holiday season, Ross Medical Education Center in Cincinnati, OH has been handing out good cheer left and right! Every year, the campus works with Specialized Alternatives for Families and Youth (SAFY), a nonprofit organization that provides a full spectrum of services to children and youth in the child welfare and juvenile justice systems. The campus partners with SAFY to help provide for many of the young children during Christmas.
This year, Ross was able to provide for 25 individuals ranging from newborns to young mothers, answering multiple Christmas wishes with gifts that they were hoping for. Everyone, from students and instructors to staff and regional staff, contributed to make this Christmas a very merry holiday.
SAFY hosts a Christmas party for the kids and young adults to enjoy time with one another and to open their donated gifts. The Cincinnati Campus Director, Sherry Feltson, is invited to join in the yearly celebration and said, “It is an honor to be a part of such a wonderful event and to help be a part of giving these kids a memorable Christmas.” This year, SAFY awarded the campus with its Friends of the Children award in recognition of our participation and contribution to the kids every holiday season.
