Students and staff at Ross in Fort Wayne, IN recently held a book drive to benefit Kate’s Kart. In just a few weeks, they collected 450 new books for the non-profit organization that supplies free books to hospitalized children. Kate’s Kart was founded in memory of Katherine Layman, who was diagnosed with heart and pulmonary defects shortly after birth and lived to the age of 18 months.
- Fort Wayne EMA students Jackie Stewart, Sarah Rosemeyer, William Sendelback, Shana Bergman, Jessica Curtis and Deanna Spencer pose with books for Kate’s Kart.
One of her favorite things to do was to look at books.
Now, with the donation from Ross, even more children will be able to choose a new book from the cart to keep.
Thanks to all our students for putting a smile on the faces of young patients in the Fort Wayne area!
