At Ross Medical Education Center, we are focused on helping students to develop into well-rounded healthcare professionals. That means that we do whatever we can to help you develop the skills and learn the information that you need to be successful. However, those skills are best used together with a good understanding of professionalism. That’s why our Career Services team, instructors, and other staff work hard to provide everything they can to prepare you for the field.
Although our Career Services staff and other staff members have a wealth of knowledge and experience to offer our students, it’s always exciting when we have the opportunity to welcome guest speakers from out in the field. These healthcare professionals can offer experience and tips that are unique to their practice and their experience. This gives students new opportunities to learn and ask questions.
Recently, the Ross Medical Education Center campus in Granger, Indiana was able to welcome a guest speaker from Beacon Medical Group to speak to students about professionalism. Ginger Sadberry was just as thrilled to visit the Granger campus and get the opportunity to talk with future healthcare professionals for about an hour and a half.
To add to the excitement, Ginger brought gifts to the students that included candy and office supplies. “Thanks to the efforts from our Career Services team, the event was success,” shared Campus Director Mobolaji Afariogun. “Ginger talked about getting work on time, how to dress, what to do during down time and resume tips. The students gained a lot of knowledge that will prepare them to work in their careers.” This experience is one of many meaningful steps in a Ross student’s education, and the Granger campus is so thankful to be a part of a community that supports and helps train Ross students into the best healthcare professionals they can be.
