Ross Medical Education Center in Saginaw recently collected items for the Muscular Dystrophy Association summer camp held at the YMCA Camp Cavell in Lexington, Michigan from June 16-22, 2012. Thanks to MDA for sharing such wonderful photos with us.
At MDA camp, barriers simply do not exist. The camp provides a wide range of activities especially designed for young people who have limited mobility or use wheelchairs. Activities range from swimming, boating, football, and horseback riding to less physically demanding programs like arts and crafts, talent shows, and a prom.
Students and staff provided a wide variety of supplies to help with camp, from sunscreen and bug spray to cleaning products, snacks, items for arts and crafts, disposable cameras, and anything relating to their theme of “Animal Planet.”
