This December was a busy month for the Claus family as they were spotted all around the midwest, stopping in many Ross campuses along the way. On Wednesday, December 11th, Mr. and Mrs. Claus greeted students at Ross Medical Education Center in Portage, MI.
Around 50 students along with their family members and friends took photos with the merry couple, decorated cookies and enjoyed hot cocoa with the Ross staff. The campus was filled with joy and cheer while Santa took notes from all the children’s (and some staff!) holiday lists.
While students and staff enjoyed Santa’s visit they also helped the Portage community by donating to the Salvation Army Angel Tree program. The Portage campus set up an Angel Tree so that students, faculty and the public could help gather gift donations that will be distributed to area children through the Salvation Army. Students, faculty and staff took tags from the tree and brought unwrapped gifts for children indicated on the tag. The drive aims to provide gifts for 25,000 children throughout West Michigan during its annual campaign. The gifts collected by the campus were given to the Salvation Army for distribution. The Portage students and staff have exemplified the spirit of giving this Christmas!
