Each month another class graduates from Ross College Online. With each graduation, a student is selected that consistently goes above and beyond academically and in their work ethic. Although there are many wonderful graduates to choose from, the staff and faculty tries to narrow it down to one. For the month of September, the Ross College Online valedictorian was Kimberly Davis.
Before Ross, Kimberly Davis was working full time at a bank in a small town called Fredericktown, Ohio. That’s when she made the decision to continue her education. It was March of 2015 when she enrolled in Ross College’s Medical Office Management Associate of Applied Science degree program. At the time of her enrollment she said, “it’s the right time to continue my education because I have the full support of my husband and my three kids.”
With that support and her goal in mind, Kimberly began her degree program orientation with high spirits. From the beginning, she greeted her peers warmly and expressed her enthusiasm about joining the program. She shared, “I am very excited to start this program and become the role model my children deserve to have.” Her excitement and motivation continued throughout her program earning her exemplary grades and a 3.86 GPA.
During her time at Ross, Kimberly thoroughly enjoyed the experience. She said that her favorite part of being a Ross student was “Interacting with other students and having amazing professors. I really like the support from all the staff at Ross College.” However, now that she has successfully graduated from her program, she looks forward to “spending a lot of time with my kids and my family. Find a good job and enjoying my accomplishment.”
Kimberly, whose friends call her Kim, is married to her husband Dave, of eight years. Kimberly and Dave have three children together. Their names are Skylar, Trista, and the youngest is Macie. The family currently lives in Howard, Ohio enjoying one another and the company of their cat Buttercup.
Congratulations, Kimberly! We are so proud and honored to name you our Valedictorian! We wish you the very best as you continue forward in your academic and professional pursuits.
