ReadyOnly graduates of Ross Medical Education Center or Ross College’s Medical Insurance Billing and Office Administration program are eligible to apply for this degree.
Learn the skills necessary to receive a Medical Insurance Billing and Office Administration Specialist Associate of Applied Science Degree.
Students will learn the skills that will help them succeed in a medical office setting in positions such as medical records clerk, billing specialist, office manager, or medical receptionist. Instructors will cover topics like administrative office skills including management of electronic medical records, preparing payroll, and accurate completion of insurance claim forms.
Among the courses students will take throughout the Medical Insurance Billing and Office Administration Specialist Associate of Applied Science Degree program include Introduction to Psychology, Introduction to Communication, Computer Fundamentals, and Core Concepts in Health.
In addition to their classroom time, students will have to complete outside coursework to meet program requirements, as well as a capstone project. Graduates of the program will have the ability to gain an understanding of the fundamental skills necessary for success in the allied health field.
My experience at Ross is something I'll always remember. Not only did I earn my diploma in seven months, I met my best friend there! I love learning and working in fast paced environments and it fit perfectly for me. I learned everything I needed to know about being a medical assistant and the staff was so supportive and amazing! Ross has been an amazing journey for me so far. I have learned a lot about the healthcare field and a lot about professionalism. I have gained confidence in myself because of Ross. Ross is a great school filled with awesome instructors! I've learned so much from my instructor, Miss. Michelle. I've never had a teacher so educated, involved, or dedicated to their students. There is no program I'd rather be in than dental and I cannot wait to start my lifelong career in this field.
