ReadyOnly graduates of Ross Medical Education Center or Ross College’s Medical Insurance Billing and Office Administration program are eligible to apply for this degree.
Learn the skills necessary to receive a Medical Insurance Billing and Office Administration Specialist Associate of Applied Science Degree.
Students will learn the skills that will help them succeed in a medical office setting in positions such as medical records clerk, billing specialist, office manager, or medical receptionist. Instructors will cover topics like administrative office skills including management of electronic medical records, preparing payroll, and accurate completion of insurance claim forms.
Among the courses students will take throughout the Medical Insurance Billing and Office Administration Specialist Associate of Applied Science Degree program include Introduction to Psychology, Introduction to Communication, Computer Fundamentals, and Core Concepts in Health.
In addition to their classroom time, students will have to complete outside coursework to meet program requirements, as well as a capstone project. Graduates of the program will have the ability to gain an understanding of the fundamental skills necessary for success in the allied health field.
The instructors here at Ross really want you to succeed. I already work in the medical field but now I have more knowledgeable skills and I loved learning about the different aspects of medical assisting.

During my time at Ross Medical I have learned the fundamentals of becoming a pharmacy technician, and I feel like I've been prepared to start my career properly. The staff is friendly, helpful, and always there when I need them. When I first started I was nervous and didn't know if I could do it, but because of all the factors that Ross offers I had a smooth transition. It's also great that they help you with the interviewing process and getting a job. My instructor Laura Cyphers was great! She had experience being a pharmacist, which gave a real-life perspective of how the field operates. She explained the curriculum well and I have the highest GPA I have ever had. I feel like I have received enough knowledge to succeed. The Campus Director, April Harr, is great, because you can always go talk with her and she's there to listen. Overall, my experience at Ross has been educational and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this school to other people, because Ross has helped me better my life.

Ross has been great in my life. The instructors got me through some hard times in class and in my personal life. This experience has been wonderful. I've never completed any higher education until now. Ross has driven me to continue toward my nursing degree. After externship, I now work for a great doctor in pain management, and I love it.

Before I joined Ross, I lost my job, my car, and I lost a child. I came to the conclusion that I was tired of being broke and working dead end jobs that I didn't enjoy doing. I wanted to do something I enjoyed and got paid to do because I take pride in my work. I always have to consider my 5 year old daughter when I make my life decisions, because she's been with me through all the struggles within the past five years. This time around I just had a talk with God. I asked him what I was destined for. That's how I ended up at Ross Medical. I am enrolled in the medical assistant program. I want to be a Phlebotomist and EKG Technician. The teachers and advisers are awesome! They are very fluent, vocal, and hands on when it comes to helping their students be successful. I enjoy coming to school every day. When I'm having a rough day, everyone is so welcoming, warming, family oriented, and understanding. Ross makes me happy. I appreciate and thank you ALL.
