During this autumn, the Ross Medical Education Center Saginaw, Michigan campus hosted one of their regular Advisory Board meetings. However, this meeting was a little different than usual as it was a Gothic Masquerade themed Advisory Board meeting. Perhaps because of the festivities, it was a great success, boasting one of the largest turnouts that the Saginaw campus has had in years.
The campus was thrilled to welcome 23 Advisory Board members from the community. These board members represented all four training programs including the Medical Assistant program, Medical Insurance Billing and Office Administration program, Dental Assistant program, and Pharmacy Technician program. The very festive decorations were provided by Sarah Deford, Career Services Student Support Representative, Nannette Hill, and Elissa Bracher. Additionally, many hours were spent making masquerade masks that adorned the tables.
Dessert was provided by Carli’s Confections, courtesy of Carli Morris, Ross Admissions Representative. She created and provided delicious pumpkin cheesecake, red velvet cupcakes, and cinnamon donut holes for the meeting. Campus Director Ginger Rezmer made fancy homemade caramel apples to give as gifts as well as provided some Traverse City Pie Company pies.
Carli Morris and Joy Slater, Instructor in the Medical Assistant program, also contributed chafing dishes for their delicious barbecue meatballs and a beautiful drink dispenser to serve cider from. The incredible dinner was catered by the Menu Manager out of nearby Midland, Michigan. The campus was able to provide a coffee bar and fresh apple cider for their guests. “Without the help of our team, whether it was moving tables or picking up the food items we could not have pulled this off,” express Apryl Blossom, Office Assistant at the Ross Saginaw campus. “We are very excited to start planning the theme for next year. The mood was light and fun and overall it was very successful.” The campus is very thankful for their employer and externship partnerships and the support they receive from their Advisory Board members and looks forward to what the future will hold.
