The FAFSA requires you to provide information about yourself and your financial situation.
Start by gathering each of the pieces of the following information so that you may refer to them throughout the application process. This will allow us to determine what type of aid you're eligible for to pay for your program costs.
You may also be required to provide parent information in addition to the items above.
"Household size includes you + your parents (if applicable) + your parents other children (if they provide more than half of the support) + other dependents that are provided more than half of the support" If you are independent with your own children, you would include them and other dependents that you provide more than half of their monetary support.
Income reported on the FAFSA would be taken from Federal tax forms 1040, 1040A or 1040EZ. Locate these documents in order to accurately answer the FAFSA questions.
This could be any not already reported, UNTAXED income such as disability, workers compensation, untaxed foreign income. See question 92h for additional guidance.
